1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Clear Credit Coach mobile app (the "App") and the website at clearcreditcoach.com (the "Site"), provided by Clear Credit Coach ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the App. The App is intended for users in the United States.
3. Education only: not credit repair or advice
The App and Site provide educational content and self-help tools only. Clear Credit Coach is not a credit repair organization and does not perform credit repair services. We do not dispute items, send letters, or contact credit bureaus or creditors on your behalf. Nothing in the App or on the Site is legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Consider consulting a qualified professional about your specific situation.
Do-it-yourself dispute letter templates are general examples. You decide whether and how to use them, you are responsible for the accuracy of anything you send, and you send any letters yourself. Score simulator figures are educational estimates, not predictions, and calculators, planners, budget tools, and readiness checks are for learning and planning only. Scores you log are self-reported and may differ from the scores a lender uses. Lesson content is general information and may not reflect every lender's practices or every law that applies to you.
4. No guarantees
We don't guarantee any change to your credit score or credit report, approval for credit or a loan, or any interest rate. Accurate, timely negative information can legally remain on a credit report. You have the right to get free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com and to dispute inaccurate information yourself, directly with the credit bureaus, at no cost.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time in the App's settings.
6. Premium subscriptions and free trial
- Free tier: some features are available at no cost.
- Premium: a monthly auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional self-help tools, such as a score simulator, debt payoff planner, mortgage and car-buying readiness checks, guided learning paths, a utilization calculator, a budget tool, and do-it-yourself dispute letter templates. Premium is an education product; it does not include credit repair services. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase. [TODO: confirm price and features at launch]
- Free trial: new subscribers may be eligible for a 2-week (14-day) free trial. A payment method is required through Apple or Google. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription at the price shown, and it renews each month until you cancel.
- Billing and cancellation: subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting the App or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of information and documents you enter or upload ("Your Content"). You give us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the services, as described in our Privacy Policy. Upload only content you have the right to share, and don't upload other people's personal information without their permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose; submit false information to creditors or credit bureaus; attempt to create a "new credit identity"; interfere with or disrupt the services; attempt to access other users' data; reverse engineer the App except where the law allows; or use the services to send spam or malware.
9. Our intellectual property
The App, Site, lessons, and related content, trademarks, and logos are owned by Clear Credit Coach or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes under these Terms.
10. Third-party services and links
The services may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, Apple, Google, or AnnualCreditReport.com). We aren't responsible for third-party content or practices, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
11. Disclaimers
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEAR CREDIT COACH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. 13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Clear Credit Coach harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the services or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
15. Governing law and disputes

16. Apple and Google
If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Clear Credit Coach, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store and Google Play terms of service.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you in the App or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
